Healing Tarot

Much Tarot energy about today, as Phil prepares to teach his Tarot workshop tomorrow.  This is a healing Tarot from a week or so ago – it would be interesting to know whether any of you can sense what kind of issue this is working on?

If you need healing for a similar issue, you may notice this image affecting you.
If you work with Tarot, you may be able to sense or figure out what this is about from your own knowledge and experience, whether or not you work with this particular Tarot.

Healing the Heart of the Land

The more I am busy working, the less I am finding time to write; but this one speaks for itself, direct from Spirit:

If your concern is any aspect of earth healing, meditate on this image, channel your love and healing through this image.

Have you discovered Joyberries?

Joyberries: Eat a handful a day for a happy life

What are Joyberries?

Joyberries are delightfully round and a beautiful shade of pinky/red; their scent is so wonderful and reminiscent of all kinds of wonderful things. So much so, that one sniff of their scent can transport you immediately into happy memories of times, places and experiences special to you. Their taste, is like all the most delicious, sweet, juicy, ripe and wonderful things you’ve ever tasted, all somehow rolled up in one. Literally, a Joyberry is in every aspect like experiencing a burst of pure joy.

Where can I get some?

Joyberries are such delicious fruits, you’d think they’d be readily available, but unfortunately they are sometimes very hard to find. They are rarely available at your supermarket or in any other kind of shop, although they can sometimes be found there, and sometimes at local markets and farm shops.

If you have not heard of Joyberries before, or find it hard to get a supply in your area, here are two good ways to source a regular supply for yourself:

Growing your Own

The best time to sow your seeds is first thing in the morning the moment you wake up. You can check the weather outside first, if you wish, then think about 3 or 5 or 10 happy things, however small and simple. These are your seeds and you water and feed them with love, appreciation and gratitude.

During the day, you can think about them, and you can notice and remember other seeds you may want to plant in the evening or tomorrow morning. (They can also be planted last thing at night, in bed, before you go to sleep).

Pretty soon, you will wake up in the morning and there they will be, waiting for you, delicious and joyous, ready to enjoy!*

How to find these mysterious and sometimes elusive Joyberries

Joyberries are mysterious and sometimes elusive, so you may not find them right away. The best way to go about your search, is to think of it as a Quest. Determine you are going to search until you find some and keep going until you do.

Always ask for all and any help from a Higher Spiritual Source before you set out and as you journey on your way. Keep all your senses alert and notice any thoughts, sights, sounds and experiences that give you a happy feeling, as these are great clues and signs that you are on the right track. If you find yourself experiencing joy, you are definitely in the right spot – make sure you take note of where you are, what you are doing and what has caused these feelings. Gather up your Joyberries. (If they are only small, you can nurture and ripen them last thing at night, or first thing in the morning with love, appreciation and gratitude).

You can also ask people you meet along your way about where they find joy, as this will provide helpful clues for you to find out where Joyberries may be.

Good fortune on your quest! The main thing to remember, is that if you keep going, you will eventually find your own ripe and abundant Joyberries to enjoy every day of your life!

* Once you start growing your own, or finding and nurturing some, you may find that other people unexpectedly start giving you some Joyberries. You may also find that you have such a plentiful harvest of them, that you can happily share some with others in your turn.

Healing through the Tarot

I find the Tarot works very well when someone is stuck in patterns of behaviour, wants to make changes, but can’t find their way forward.

Tarot loves complexity and addresses every part and level of such patterns, creating energy shifts which filter through levels of thinking and acting, resulting in effortless change.

Things are just different and the client finds themselves freer to respond and act in new, more resourceful and healthier ways.

If you happen to be affected by a similar pattern to the client for whom this layout was created, you will respond to this image, even though the cards are not especially clear to see.

Such a layout stays in place until the work is done, which may take anything from 15 minutes to several days. In this case, these cards remained active for about a week before everything quietened down and the work was finished. There was an interesting phase around days 2 to 4 when the cards became very much alive, 3-dimensional and the doorways into them became very obvious to see.

The client noticed changes in thinking and feelings immediately, but could not put anything definite into words – and did not want to do so. On checking a few days later, my client had noticed a number of definite and positive changes and these were well integrated in behaviour by the time the layout seemed to “switch off” and the cards could be moved.

Storms and Dreams

I woke around 4am with the weather so stormy today! Wild winds and rain gusting around the house. At first I dance with the storm, but it is too wild and throws me around.

I am with the weather. Not trying to change or calm anything. Simply witnessing – we have done more than enough interfering.

The Earth is doing what she needs: The weather, the climate changes: everything is happening as it must.

As I write, the storm whips up more furiously. Rain lashes the ground.

It is now 6am*. I did sleep for a short while and dreamed there was a leak in St John’s House, in the corner of one room, water streaming down the wall.
Then, as I watched, I noticed it dripping through other parts of the ceiling.
We had people there, milling about. Maybe we were running a course. I went to find Phil.

Passing through other rooms, rain was coming through everywhere.
I went to another floor: water was pouring through all parts of the ceiling and wallpaper falling off the wall. Everything was soaked; plaster giving way.

Phil and I stood in one of the main rooms, water raining down around us. The face of a big ornate clock on the mantelpiece fell off.

I partially woke up, exhausted; then, as I fell back towards sleep, I heard Phil’s voice saying to me “Jerry Owl’s shed door is wide open.”

I was wide awake in a moment, thinking “should I get out of bed, look into the garden and check?” I was afraid for him – if the door is open cats or foxes or whatever could get to him.

No. These are just fears. I trust everything is fine.
But then this comes to me as important to write and share, so I get up and I do check anyway and his door is closed. And I write to you.

* When I went back to bed I found it was actually 20 to 9am.

New Year promises for 2012

I don’t do New Year’s Resolutions. These are my Promises to my self for this year:

I will take care of myself

I will make life easier

I will live in the flow

I will shed things, people, places and activities that de-energise me

I will embrace things, people, places and activities that energise me

Whatever else happens, I am choosing and creating the world I wish to live in, according to my values and principles. Time, energy and resources are precious and I Intend to spend them wisely and well, without compromise or acceptance of what is less than 100% positive. This year I intend to find out whether it is possible to fully create the world I want to live in and this is where you will find me.

Spirit of 2012

Spirit of the changing times, Spirit of 2012:

What do you want from me?

What do I want from you?

Where are we journeying in this year of change and what is my part within this flow?

Waking on January 1st with these thoughts in mind, I sense the energy of the day, the energies of this dawning year. It is not yet awake. I feel it really begins on January 23rd with the Chinese New Year.

We celebrated one New Year already on December 21st. This winter solstice was a strong one, a real beginning. New Year January 1st feels very quiet – but was very turbulent yesterday, building through the day and unsettled during the night.

So. I will wait and see. I have asked my questions, and will spend some time today on my personal thoughts and Intentions for this year and see. My thoughts are that perhaps part of this will be sharing a Shamanic Year ‘out loud’ – writing things here, so that those who want to know can read them, reflect on them and apply what is useful to their own lives.

The best time of year for your soul

Christmas is a wonderful time of year for your heart’s happiness, for your spiritual blossoming and for your soul’s joy!

Why?

This is a time of giving and sharing on a grand and magnificent scale: everyone is at it, friends, families, lovers, co-workers and strangers.

When you give, you get to see the joy and happiness on someone else’s face. You get to see them light up and smile and glow more as their true selves, free of worry and stress, even if just for a moment.

In giving, you notice feelings of connection and love and a happy glow of warmth and aliveness growing inside your own self.

Receiving a gift can be wonderful, a surprise, a delight, happiness at being remembered and cared for and all kinds of other good things.

Giving something with thoughtfulness and love opens up all kinds of other wonderful things, and it doesn’t need to cost money. You could simply give a smile, you could wish good things for the people you meet, you could offer a helping hand if you see someone needs it or anything else that occurs to you – be creative!

At other times of year it is sad to see that sometimes people seem wary and suspicious, or to notice that sometimes you yourself feel wary and suspicious around others, perhaps wondering about their motives for offering a gift, perhaps wondering whether there are strings attached. But at this time of year we all seem to relax a bit, giving is in the air, it’s ‘the season of good will to all’, so all the usual constraints are off!

Share the joy, share the gifts and smiles and love and happiness and remember to truly accept and enjoy all that comes your way too!

The Wisdom of the Heart

“An animal does not reason; it experiences directly. That is its superiority over the intermediate age of our Mankind – that phase in which man – deceived by the incomplete testimony of his senses and his reason – has allowed the instinctive consciousness to atrophy without as yet having learnt to use his intuitive faculties which are ‘the wisdom of the heart’.”
Isha Schwaller de Lubicz in Her-Bak : The Living Face of Ancient Egypt, 1954

This quote beautifully and succinctly expresses the process of change humanity is going through and needs to move through to evolve and continue as a species.

It would be a mistake to try and recapture some earlier animistic, shamanic, druidic or pagan way of being and try to live in those ways; but we can start from these traditions.

We need to start by re-awakening and enhancing our sensory skills, refreshing our ‘instinctive consciousness’ by reconnecting with the skills inherent in these ancient ways. Then, from this strong grounding we must learn to use and evolve our intuitive faculties through the heart.

Once we start to feel reconnected with the natural world, once we start to appreciate and value ALL living beings and to experience the interconnectedness of all things, then we can move forward ecologically and sustainably.

Once this connection is alive within us again, we need to begin to discover and experience ‘the wisdom of the heart’.

How can we do this?

Instead of thinking what your mind would do: practice sensing, feeling and experiencing what your Heart would do and start living your life this way.

Reasons why you can’t

There are always plenty of good reasons why you “can’t” do something:

Not enough money
Not enough time
Health not good enough
It’s crazy (according to others)
You might fail
You couldn’t bear the disappointment if you failed
You’re afraid to try
You have other commitments or responsibilities
We are in a recession
It’s not practical or possible for whatever reason

Really, you have every justification for not risking it, no one will blame you if you don’t.

Take the safe option,
Be realistic
Accept your current “reality”

Maybe you can do it some day, when things are better, when the time is right, when circumstances allow, when you get a lucky break, when you retire.

Maybe.
