The Joyous Message of Easter

For me, the message of Easter is that:

After death there can be new rebirth

After the worst pain and suffering there can be new life, in another form.

Terrible things occur in this world, terrible things are inflicted by humans on other humans; but there is always hope:

Whatever has happened to you, it is possible to heal, to transform, to rise again out of pain and suffering to new life and light.  Believe this, turn your face towards the light and create this reality.

The pain, suffering and injustice that has occurred is not in vain: every day people who are part of this wake up and resolve to change, to do better, to be more loving, to find a better way.  Every day millions of people do something to make this world a better place for everyone.

You can be part of this dream: kinder, more generous, more easy going, more compassionate, more relaxed, more willing to co-exist in harmony and peace.

Every moment of this life is a treasure house of possibility.  This Easter, witness and acknowledge the painful realities of life around you. Offer some time in prayer, meditation and positive intention for these things to change and heal.  Enjoy happy times with your loved ones and celebrate the warmth of your connection and the blessings of all the good things in your life.  If you need to find some, just go outside and look, really look at the natural world around you: experience the aliveness, beauty and possibilities of it all. Endless interactions, creations, growing, blossoming, expressing and living is going on all around you and from the tiniest flower to the greatest sky-wide expression of weather, everything has its own beauty and magnificence.

In the vast immensity of space and time, you exist, you are part of everything and everything is part of you.  Choose where to place your attention and where and how to live vibrantly from this day forward.
